Hotel Schweizerhof Basel

The ambiance was fantastic, and I loved the spacious room. The complimentary travel card was super handy for getting around. The hotel's location right by the station made travel easy. I really appreciated the clean and modern bathroom too!

The hotel was perfectly clean, there were especially helpful staff and extensive breakfasts. The breakfast with the BEST coffee I 've ever had in my life. Brand-new rooms with comfortable beds, bathroom was large.

The hotel was in a reasonably priced location, in the centre. The staff was fabulously helpful and attentive, offered excellent services. The economy room was brand-new and nicely furnished with a balcony...

The ladies at the reception were very friendly at the check in and check out. At the check in I felt warmly welcomed. The location of the hotel is top. The room was big and comfortably furnished. The bathroom left nothing to be desired. The whole hotel is very well maintained and clean. I felt like at home in this hotel. The minibar on the floors is a good thing, I have never seen in this form before. I find the hotel offers much more than its category would lead to expect. Although my room went straight to the station square, it was quiet with the window closed and I also did not hear anything from the room neighbours. I thank the whole team for this great stay.

The rather large gap between the floor and the door lets in quite a lot of light from the corridor at night. But that is also the only shortcoming.

The recent stay was fantastic, especially since the location is super convenient for exploring the city and nearby attractions. I loved how spacious and clean the Ambiente Double Room was, along with the friendly staff who provided useful information about the area. The breakfast was a highlight too, with plenty of delicious options to choose from.

kindness of ALL receptionists. They went out of their way to please us. From the girl who checked us in (we were in a hurry because we had to return the rental car), to the one who recommended us where to have dinner, ending with the staff who was at the checkout and who also attended us in Spanish. is the second time we stayed at this hotel, this time it was even better than the last one. Details such as the ice cream gifts (although we did not use the vouchers) or the fact that the drinks in the fridge on the first floor are freely available to the guest, reflect the interest in satisfying the customer. As for the room itself... spacious both the bedroom and bathroom. shower is also exceptional.

Nothing. Everything is perfect. If you have to put some stick, say that, I suppose because our room was one of the closest to the train station (314 I think), because of the proximity of the trams, sometimes you could tell perfectly when one arrived (without being a bit annoying, unless you are the typical one who is bothered by everything). Anyway, shortly after midnight, it stopped being noticed, I suppose because the traffic stopped

The Schweizerhof offers a perfect blend of comfortable accommodations and ideal location for business travelers. The spacious room featured a large two-sink bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and excellent air conditioning. The staff provided efficient and friendly service, assisting with my presentation setup and offering a complimentary Basel transportation pass, convenient for my daily commutes.

The complimentary breakfast could have included more protein options.

This is a nice, sensibly priced hotel in the middle of Basel. Everything is easily accessible from here, particularly the sbb station across the road. Early morning breakfast is available if you need to catch an early train.

The overall services are good. The staff at the reception counter is very helpful and courteous. The food for breakfast is simple but good. However, I trusted them so much that I did not check their bill when I settled it by cash. When I checked the bill after my arrival at Basel Airport, I found that I was overcharged by CHF96.00. It was part of my own fault. I called them at the airport. They agreed the over charge and would refund it to me.

Stayed at schweizerhof for 2 nights with family and loved it! The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the tram station and old town. Our ambiente double room was cozy with a super comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly. Enjoyed some evening drinks at the little bar too!

The location is no compare, very very near to the city tran station, just few steps away not more then 3 minutes walking. just in front of the hotel, many tram stop and bus stop. Room is very clean and staffs are very nice people! Recommended!! At the 4th floors you can get extra soft drinks/mineral water free of charge. Bathroom is very nice.

May be only room rate for me is a bit high.
